About UsThis site is primarily designed as a handbook for pediatric interventional radiology fellows at Boston Children's Hospital. The aim of this site is to provide a guide for practitioners, with particular emphasis on procedures commonly performed in the pediatric population. The content is directed at fellows in training, but may also be of use to experienced interventionalists looking to expand their pediatric practice.
Interventional procedures can be effectively performed in several different ways and the technique often needs to be tailored to the size and age of the child. The techniques described in this site reflect the preferences of the authors based on their experience, and are meant to provide a basic framework for safe and effective practice. |

This site was created and is maintained by Gulraiz Chaudry, MBChB, director of the pediatric interventional radiology fellowship program at Boston Children's Hospital. The majority of the procedures and protocols have been authored by Ahmad Alomari, MD, with contributions from the following pediatric interventional radiologists: Darren Orbach MD, Horacio Padua MD, Raja Shaikh MD and Rush Chewning MD. Additional materials provided by BCH NPs and technologists.
